Dr. Waqar Uddin meets the Prime Minister of Turkey in Istanbul

Director-General of the Arakan Rohingya Union Professor Waqar Uddin met the Prime Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu on Friday, during his stay in Istanbul to participate in the thirteenth Islamic Summit.
During the meeting, talks between the two sides discussed about the democratic transition in Myanmar and the ways to solve the issue of Rohingya in a fair manner and stopping the inhuman practices against them and the restoration of civil rights to them and bringing peace and stability in Arakan State.
The two sides also discussed the displaced and internally displaced persons issues, and refugees in different countries, and strategic initiatives to engage with the new government of Myanmar to build a new multi-spectral state is a cooperation.
Davutoglu stressed his support and the support of his country to fully restore all Rohingya rights and accepting them as citizens of the country and right choose their ethnicity name themselves.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Wakar expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the State of Turkey, the President and Prime Minister for the sympathy with the Rohingya people and calling on Turkey to provide logistical and diplomatic support for democratic transformation in Myanmar.
