Global Rohingya Center (GRC) expresses its gratitudes to the Kingdom for standing with Rohingya

Global Rohingya Center (GRC) thanks and appreciate the efforts of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to solve the issue of Rohingya Muslims, praising the recent moves made by the Kingdom in this regard.

The head of the center Abdullah bin Maruf said in a statement issued on this occasion: “The images of bright loving and support by the Kingdom towards the issues of Muslims wherever they are, especially the cause of the oppressed Muslims of Rohingya and internally displaced because of the violence in Myanmar.”

Maruf praised Kingdom’s continuous condemnation of acts of violence, murder and genocide committed by Buddhists against the Muslim minority in the territory of Arakan, in addition to the initiative, which he described as historic occasion in the Rohingya community.

Maruf also noted the importance of the support provided by the Kingdom recently to help and assist Rohingya refugees those are narrowed and stranded in the Thailand.
It should be noted that the Kingdom has signed on a memorandum of understanding with the High Commissioner of the United Nations for Refugees (UNHCR) under which the Kingdom will provide the contribution of a total value of one million dollars in order to help Rohingya refugee in Thailand.
