Global Rohingya Center (GRC) envoy discussed Rohingya situations with Indonesian ambassador in Qatar
Engineer Mohammad Yunus, a GRC member met with the Indonesian ambassador to Qatar Mr. Deddy Saiful Hadi in his residence.
During the meeting they discussed Rohingya Muslims those flee persecutions by Buddhist in Myanmar and arrives by boat to Indonesian shores.
As Indonesia is not part of UN signatory refugees nations, Indonesia is oblivious to UNHCR funding and aid supports for which the government is unable to grant the Rohingya refugees with any legal status which are estimated to be around 13,000 refugees inside Indonesia.
For his part the ambassador added ” Indonesian economy is not the best in the world but we are human beings, as human beings its an obligation to help fellow humans those are suffering.
We are working with IOM to alleviate the suffering of these Rohingya people but we need international supports”
Engineer Yunus expressed his gratitude to the ambassador from entire Rohingya community as he took out time to stand with the Rohingya cause and their suffering.
