A statement from the Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) and Global Rohingya Center (GRC) on the discovery of mass graves of Rohingyas in Thailand

It is due to what has been discovery of mass graves in Thailand of Rohingya refugees, Rohingyas those have been subjected to trafficking at the hands of gangs of human traffickers.
We, Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) and the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) condemn this disgraceful act that the international community has watched silently, we call upon the United Nations (UN), the Organization Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the European Union (EU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to send a specialized team unbiased and neutral to graves discovered sites, to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation to reveal the involved network of traffickers collectively to bring the perpetrators to justice, also call for a serious and urgent action to end the long suffering of Rohingyas and resolve their problems radically from its source Myanmar.
Discovery of mass graves is a form of disgrace for all mankind and expectations of discovery for more mass graves in Thailand and neighboring areas of the country. Rohingya fled because of persecution and violence, the genocide that began in 2012 against Rohingya minority in Myanmar, which previously refrained from accepting a UN commission of inquiry and the search for the many mass graves in the state of Arakan.
Although the discovery of the mass graves of Rohingya and evidence of trafficking on the territory of the ASEAN region is the best proof that the problem was not confined to Myanmar but has crossed to other ASEAN region countries and much of the world, it is also refutes the allegations to the neighboring countries as an internal affair of Myanmar.
Time for the leaders of ASEAN has come to prove good intentions towards humanity in their area and to carry the regional and the international duty towards the issue of Rohingya, nor justification for their silence, which supports the Government of Myanmar in prolonging the problem, but in the interests of their region protection of minorities and the preservation of rights for all.
We in this context, we welcome a statement to Prime Minister of Thailand on the conduct of investigations on this issue and reveal the identities of those responsible for trafficking of Rohingyas and the mass graves discovered on their territory, and we call on the Government of Thailand, Malaysia and the countries reached by the refugees to release them and deal with them according to international law and to protect their lives and honor, and to allow human rights organizations and the media free access to sites to the graves, also accelerating the identification of those responsible for these heinous crimes whatever their identities are and achieve justice to contribute effectively to solving the problem.
