Rohingya Student Union in Malaysia organizes a meeting entitled “Chronic cry of the Rohingya people”
Rohingya Student Union in Malaysia in collaboration with Al-Aqsa Friends and Society Club sponsored by the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) on the 5th of March held and introductory meeting about the Rohingya case in International Islamic University Malaysia entitled “Chronic cry of the Rohingya people” was attended by more than 450 people, with the participation of the groups including academics, officials and people those interested in Rohingya case, a number of students took part in Educational initiative for the Rohingya children.
The General secretary of the Rohingya Federation Ghayasuddin Maulana Abdul Salam Explained in the beginning of the meeting regarding the chronology of the case and the role of Buddhist extremists in the persecution of Rohingyas backed by international silence and logistical support to the Government of Burma, explaining the depth and breadth of the issue of the historical and cultural point of view, and praising the attention of the elite Malaysian Minister Hamid Albar representing the Rohingya cause.
Hanin Zaitoon a Rohingya student from International Islamic University in master’s program discussed the current situation in Burma, ethnic and religious filter that exposed the Rohingya Muslims, describing them as the invasion of civilization and cultural and deep changes in the assets of the country and renouncing human rights and rights to education and self-identifications.
The head of the Rohingya Students Union in Malaysia Mr. Abdullah Zubair said in an interview with Arakan News Agency (ANA) that at the meeting they discussed aspects of cooperation between all the parties and how can the supports be provided effortlessly in the field education and awareness to people to serve the issue, adding that the meeting has aimed to express the spiritual bond between the fellow people and awakened spirit of the nation, religion and to plant seeds in the issuance of believers.
It is noteworthy that the meeting accompanied by a photo gallery, answering questions for the visitors and to provide a theatrical performance by the theater club at the University.
