Objectives of the Legal Sector

  1. Monitoring and detecting violations and crimes against Rohingya people.

  2. Calling the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)  [which participated in all sessions of the Human Rights Council in Geneva  on  10.06.2013] to exert pressure on the Myanmar government to stop the murder, extermination and persecution practised daily against Rohingya minority.

  3. To work on restoring the usurped rights: (citizenship right – children and women – the right of health – the right of education – the right of work , etc.).

  4. Collecting evidences, documents and reports about human rights violations against the Rohingya.

  5. Prosecuting those who are responsible for crimes against Rohingya and bring them to justice.

  6. Conveying the Rohingya issue to human rights organizations as well as to international, regional and legal bodies.

  7. Demanding the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to set up a Fact Finding committee to uncover the blatant violations and crimes committed against the Rohingya people.

  8. Requesting from the (Committee on Control and Prevention of Torture of the United Nations) to make investigation  about the detainees which were tortured against the general principles of human rights.

  9. Building partnerships and agreements with the legal and human rights organizations to issue joint condemnations and submit them to the UN Security Council and the International Criminal Court.

  10. Setting up a committee of lawyers and jurists to hold seminars and conferences in coordination with the justice and legal committees in the world to join efforts and consultation with regard to the Rohingya cause in order to mobilize it and restore the usurped rights.
